My name is Benjamin Linus. I am an important leader of The Others. I am in my forties, and I never moved from my birth place, which is an island invisible to outsiders because it is cloaked by electromagnetic fields.

On September 22, 2004, an Oceanic flight crashed on my island. I didn’t know then that this event would have such a great impact in my life, for it was two days before the crash that I discovered that I have a fatal spinal tumor. As luck would have it, one of the survivors of the crash just happened to be a spinal surgeon. If that’s not a sign that God exists, I don’t know what it is.

I am one the top leaders of the group that the survivors of Oceanic Flight #815 call The Others. Many say that I am a liar. Many say that I am dangerous. I am not a liar. I am not dangerous. I just do what needs to be done to make sure that my people are kept in a safe environment. After all, I am a Good Guy.

Recently, we had Michael Dawson in our custody. He was constantly looking for his son Walt. He didn’t understand Walt. Walt belongs with us, because Walt has tremendous special powers. My group of people knows how to harness the special power.

I was held hostage with the survivors. I was kept in their hatch. The good doctor removed a spear that pierced my shoulder. But nonetheless they kept me hostage. Sayid beat me senseless because he blamed his lover’s death on me. What a fool Sayid is. Ana Lucia was the one who killed her, not I.

These survivors like to think of themselves as good people. Yet, they beat me senseless, killed Goodwin and Ethan, shoot each other, beat each other, do not communicate with each other, and step all over each other to get ahead. And they think that my people are bad.

Why, a few days ago, in order to release from the clutches of the survivors, Bea sent Michael to release me, and what did he do? He tried to shoot Ana Lucia, and he was shot by Libby. And you wonder why I say I am a Good Guy.
